White is more versatile and one of my favorites for monochrome looks! With white, you can not only combine different textures but you can combine different variations of the hue – white, cream, ivory and even tan or camel. For fall and winter, I love wearing lace, knits, tweed, velvet, heavier chiffon, faux fur, leather/vegan leather and wool blends. ![]() With black, it’s very important to utilize different textures and fabrics since it can just end up blending together. If you’re a newbie to styling monochrome looks, I recommend starting off with neutrals like black or white. Even though it’s all the same color, it still works well together and look interesting with the varying textures. My shoes are also a faux patent material and my look incorporates other interesting details like bows and pearls. Black can offer you a variety of choices, while grey, as well as camel and. Therefore, you should plan your outfits in advance and follow a similar color palette for dresses, coats, shoes, and jackets. In my outfit, I’m wearing a chiffon style top with a faux leather pleated skirt topped with a wool coat. They are in the same color family and about the same intensity of color. For example, when I style blush, I usually pair it with some variation of mauve. Neutral outfits always look incredible but there’s something so fun and fresh about wearing color!
